Write your truth
Our unique truth is made up of our values, passions, pleasures, pursuits, experiences, and preferences, the things that make us us. Yet life has a funny way of pulling us off track. Between social expectations, family pressures, career demands, and that never-ending inner critic (you know the one), we can easily lose sight of what genuinely makes us happy.
Sometimes, we get so used to meeting everyone else’s needs or living by “shoulds” that we forget who we are underneath it all. The good news? That truth isn’t gone, it’s just a bit buried.
In therapy, we gently dust it off together. We explore what feels authentic for you, where you’ve been pulled away from it, and how to move back toward congruence, when your inner and outer selves line up again. That’s where calm, confidence, and clarity tend to show up (often with a deep sigh of relief).
And yes, sometimes living your truth means going against the grain, do it gracefully, but still do it.
As Bon Jovi wisely put it, “You write your truth and I’ll write mine.”
🌼 We all have the same human potential, therapy just helps you find your way back to yours.
